Minimum requirements for the Warehouse Manager Job opportunity:
Five years’ experience in a similar role
Computer literate in Microsoft Office and Great Plains
Minimum of two years’ experience managing staff
Excellent understanding of the supply chain
Technical knowledge of the day-to-day management of a frozen plant
Adaptable to operational changes and overtime
Valid driving license
 
Responsibilities of the Warehouse Manager:
Conduct investigations and disciplinary hearings and attend CCMA cases.
Housekeeping
Manage the team's productivity and time management
Prevent and manage shrinkage and damages
Manage logistics in warehousing and expenses in the department e.g., overtime
Manage the implementation of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
Managing the Food safety Audit program
Utilise the prescribed system (Great Plains) to draw reports
Manage the budget for the section
Manage staff and welfare of members
Manage the branch warehouse function
Manage stock control and inventory function including stock take preparation
Enforce safety and housekeeping programme on an ongoing basis
Leverage Great Plains reporting to control branch logistical functions
Daily cycle counts
