Business Operations Manager (Telecommunications) (JB214)

– R110 000 per month
Telecommunication
is an essential service during the lockdown period, interviews for this post
will commence ASAP as from Monday 27th April 2020. This is an urgent position
and needs to be filled ASAP.
Head
office is based in Cape Town – Candidates based in JHB or other areas will work
remotely or from offices based closest to them. Candidates do not need to be
based in JHB or Cape Town as long as they are prepared to travel.
The
Regional Business Manager is responsible for the operational effectiveness of
all the WISPs/ Business Units in his/her region. This includes the smooth
running of all the wisps, adherence to budgetary guidelines, meeting sales
targets and compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards. The
position will be to cover the northern and central regions.
Requirements:
Tertiary
qualification on one of the following fields is minimum requirement:
Diploma
or degree in accounting, finance, economics, business and management or
relevant telecommunications background
Must
have a proven record of sound leadership, decision making and people management
Must
have expertly led at a managerial level the operational effort in a commercial
environment, preferably the telecommunications industry
Must
have at least 5 years’ experience of general management, telecommunication
experience is essential
Must
have very good verbal and written communication skills
Must be
proficient in MS Office
Able to
travel 20-30%
Key
responsibilities:
Coaching
and leading of branch GM’s; developing their skills in completing their
leadership routines
Strategy
Interpret
business strategy and lead regional team to compile and executive the regional
and individual branch business plans
Prioritize
intra-regional opportunities
Work as
part of Level 3 team to ensure balanced national business plan
Regional
and national performance
Ensure
resources (Capital, people, systems) available for GM’s to succeed
Ensure
support for region
Manage
allocation of resources within region
Align
and support initiatives across regions to benefits of total operations
Sustainable
growth
Oversee
implementation of the MOS process
Drive
100% integration of all processes and initiatives with the MOS to ensure
sustained results
