As a medical receptionist previous experience working for a specialist within a hospital environment is required.
 
Requirements for the Medical Receptionist:
4+ years’ experience as a Medical Receptionist for a Specialist within a hospital
Grade 12
 
Responsibilities of the Medical Receptionist:
Greet and attend to patients in person and over the phone in a professional and courteous manner
Professionally assist doctors, staff, visitors, and patients
Maintain business inventory such as checking supplies, scheduling equipment and maintenance repairs
Perform all duties in accordance with Medical and hospital regulations
Maintain confidentiality of all doctor, staff, and patient information
Schedule appointments between doctors and patients
Assist with admissions/treatment as per agreed protocols
Ensure that stock levels are adequate, and orders are made timeously
Complete accurate documentation of patient visits
