Working Hours: 07:00 - 16:30
Salary: Negotiable based on experience

Kontak Recruitment is recruiting a Buyer with experience in the automotive industry to join their SMME in Pinetown.  Suitable candidates would require at least five years’ experience in Purchasing and Procurement.
 
Engaging with existing suppliers & subcontractors
Identify and source new suppliers and sub – Contractors through social media platform, cold calling & networking
Investigate better and alternative suppliers
Maintain supplier and subcontractor database
Identify tender and commercial requirements
Attends Pre-tender meeting
Review the tender document
Prepare and compile the tender buying requirements
Electronic bills including drawings, specifications, and other enquiry documents
Obtain 3 or more quotes for materials and subcontractors
Compiles buying file
Prepares buying file for estimator for handover
Relinquishes the buying file which includes best possible price, qualifications, quotations
Source prices/ cost of hiring of plant and all materials Placing orders for materials
Ensure compliance with company guidelines
Maintain well-organised filing systems
Update database
Keeping detailed records and maintaining a well-organized work schedule
Liaise with vendors re-evaluations
Local and international purchases
Tracking of deliveries
Forecasting orders
Manage returns to the supplier
Service delivery
Goods supplied
Process of recons of all docs, requisitions, quotes, approvals, P O’s. and invoicing
Ensure company objectives met – take corrective action
Processing of orders
Submit orders to suppliers
